What we collect and why
Contact form. When you send us a message through the contact form we collect your name, contact details and the content of your message. We use this to reply to your enquiry. The form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which checks that submissions come from people rather than automated software; reCAPTCHA is operated by Google and its use is subject to Google’s privacy policy and terms.
Website analytics. With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our site (pages visited, approximate location, device type). Analytics cookies are not set unless you accept them through our cookie banner, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Details of the cookies used are in our Cookie Policy.
Membership. Club membership, class registration and payments are handled through the MAAT membership app, which acts as a separate service with its own privacy policy. We recommend reading it when you register. We access membership information in MAAT to run the club.
Legal basis
We process contact form enquiries on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. Analytics cookies are processed only with your consent. Membership data is processed as necessary to provide the membership you have signed up for.
How long we keep data
Contact form enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted. Analytics data is retained in Google Analytics for the standard retention period configured for our account. Membership records are retained for the duration of membership and as required afterwards for accounting and legal purposes.
Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data. Data is processed on our behalf by our website hosting provider, Google (reCAPTCHA and, with consent, Analytics) and the MAAT membership platform. Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area under appropriate safeguards such as the EU standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@graciejiujitsu.ie. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie), 21 Fitzwilliam Square South, Dublin 2, D02 RD28.
Children
Children’s memberships are registered and managed by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children through this website.
Changes
We will update this policy when our data practices change and show the date of the latest update at the top of the page.
